Frank Marsden

Frank Marsden, 90, Formerly of Ilion NY, Stanhope NJ, Stroudsburg PA, and presently of Greece NY, left this earth to join his Savior on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.

He was born on February 11, 1924 in Sheffield, England, the son of Leonard & Doris (Boot) Marsden. Frank was a WWII Veteran who served 2 ½ years in the Army in Northern Africa and Italy. He was a graduate of Ilion H.S. and Canton A&T College. Frank played semi-pro baseball for the Cincinnati Reds in Watertown NY in 1947. He retired from Picatinny Arsenal, Dover NJ as a management analyst.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Marie Marsden and two daughters, Beth (Anne E.) Murphy (James), Mary Lynn Parsloe (Robert).  He was predeceased by two sons, David L. Marsden in 1951 and William E. Marsden in 1992. Also, several grandchildren, Kathryn Burns (Jeffrey), Adam D. Murphy, Melia Parsloe, Corinne Parsloe, Victoria Parsloe, Amanda Watson, Sarah Marsden, and several great grandchildren.

Family and Friends are invited to a memorial celebration of his life to be held in Rome, NY at St. Peter’s Church, 105 E Liberty St. Rome NY on September 20, at 10:30 a.m. The service will be followed by a luncheon at the Vescio’s Franklin Hotel, 301 S James St. Rome NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be sent to St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 54 Kuhn Rd., Rochester NY 14612.

    We will always remember Frank as a gentle person. He loved his family so much. Our prayers are for his family to get through this difficult time. We are thankful that we had the privilege to know Frank.

    Hey Youtube, what are you doing? We all know that STRSkillSchool did NOT win On The Rise. If you look at the poll done, UltraSlo had what, about 50% of the votes. He clearly won, and you guys ddcieed to choose your own winner, completely disregarding what WE chose. Why fake democracy if you will just choose what suits you best?
