So I finally looked at the Pinterest board Rozzie labelled “AGGIE” and I realized how many opportunities to connect with her I missed! Her sense of humor, her love for me and mine, her innate sense of artistry all shine through so very brightly with each post!
One of the philosophies she lived by (and was helping me to do the same) was “far from what I once was but not yet what I am going to be”. I strive daily to recognize the growth in my heart and in the hearts of those around me! Thank you, Roz!
Another one was by George Eliot “it is never too late to be what you might have been” – I‘d get so bogged down in what I HADN’T done….I’d forget that the power to change was within me! Thank you, Roz!!!
If you know Roz and I at all, you might think the quote about family that goes
“Family – a little bit crazy, a little bit loud, and a whole lot of love” is the one that most applies but in actuality it is “Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful. It means you will love and be loved all the days of your life!” Thank you, Roz!
Finally….the one most pertinent to our world today with Rozzie gone is the one by
A.A. Milne as Winnie the Pooh and Piglet share this pearl of wisdom: “If ever there is a tomorrow when we are not together…there is something you must remember: you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing if we are ever apart is…. I’ll always be with you!” Thank you, Roz!
So to Rozzie’s sweetheart son, TR….the love-of-her-life, Kevint… her amazing daughter, Jenna…. “Miss Kathy” and the marvelous family at Shamrock Jack’s …. those “crazy kids” in the Hickey family…. Roz’ krenzer crew….. and the friends who have loved her free-spirited, creative, phenomenal soul through thick and thin, I say… she will always be with us!
Rest in peace, Roz…you are forever in my heart.
