Ruth was a good friend to my mom and dad (Marion and Joe Lill) and my dad still enjoyed the times that they were able to talk. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Our condolences to the family – Ruth was a great gal!
We will miss Ruth. Our Canandaigua Lake community will not be the same without her.
Ruth was a dear friend of our family and especially to my mom. They were friends for 82 years! She will be missed so very much! What a fancy lady with a wonderful, unforgettable laugh! My wonderful memories of Ruth and Bill will be with me forever. Rest in peace, dear Ruth. My deepest sympathy to all of the DeMallie family.
So sorry for your family’s loss. What a wonderful, full life! All my best, with love, Kathy Johnson
We lived near Ruth on Canandaigua Lake for the past few years. She was always very friendly and we admired how often she swam in the lake. The lane won’t be the same without her. We are so sorry for your loss.
I am very sad to hear of Ruth’s passing. I had the good fortune to be Ruth’s neighbor for 9 years! I was always impressed with her sense of style, compassion for the community and her good sense of humor. I loved to sit lakeside and talk current events with her. Ruth lived life to the fullest and she did it her way. Your friends at 4086 will miss you! Our thoughts & prayers to Ruth’s family.
Ruth was a long time friend and a very gracious lady. We had many good times at the bridge table. I will miss her smiling face and her wonderful attitude. My condolences to her family.
My condolences to the entire family with special attention to Carolyn LePage. Ruth and I worked together while in the real estate business. I can say without hesitation that Ruth was and always will be at the top of my list of “Most Memorable Characters’ ! We too often use the word unique is many portraits but in Ruth’s case it is a most appropriate descriptive.
What a wonderful lady and what a wonderful life! We always looked forward to seeing her for a little chat as we walked our dog on the lane. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. You will be in our thoughts.

Jack and Miriam took us children to Canandagua Lake to Bill and Ruth’s cottage…so many fond memories. My brother Tom also sends his condolences…we loved Ruth…she wore bangle bracelets and ankle jewlery.I loved being around her….Ruth was a grammer school friend with my Mom…..Ruth and Bill we’re guests at and hosted parties…I remember the laughter ….now they all are parting in a different peaceful place…God Bless…..Maryanne Henner Altobelli
I am so sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. I knew Ruth and Bill from spending summers on Canandaigua lake in the 60’s and 70’s. My grandparents (Clarence and Elsie Haag) lived next door to Ruth and Bill. I was only 10 years old in 1965 and I can remember how gracious and friendly they were to the “neighbor kid” as I grew up. I have strong memories of those times and the comraderie along the beach. Ruth and her husband were wonderful people whose lives touched mine many years ago. They were great people! In fact, Bill taught me how to fish which has become a life long passion of mine!
Ruth meant so much to all us East Shore Assn. people. Her leadership, support and cheer were reliably with us to make needed improvements–and to keep the important things going. We election inspectors at Crystal Beach fire hall looked forward to her reliable visits for every election. She was an inspiration of what a good citizen should be, and we’ll miss her. Lauralee Maas
