Emily Ann Trusilo, 93, of Forest Hills, passed peacefully among family in Penfield, NY, on November 4, 2020. Born April 25, 1927, to Paul and Eleanor Lipowcan in Braddock, PA, Emily was a 1945 graduate of Braddock High School, a lifelong member of St. Maurice Parish, and a retired professional secretary. She was the wife of the late Walter E. Trusilo, and beloved mother to Thomas (Joan), James (Barbara), Daniel (Linda), Diane LaFrance (Joe), Donna Rice (Neil) and Carol Kovalick (Vincent). She is also survived by 13 adoring grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her son, Thomas, sister Julia Lipowcan Cwynar and brother Frank Lipowcan.
Emily loved her friends and ballroom dancing, which she practiced gracefully into her 90th year. She will forever be remembered for her humor, her kindness, and her profound love. She was gracious and happy always, and she will be dearly missed.
A memorial service and burial will be held in Pittsburgh at a later date, when we can safely gather to celebrate Emily’s long and beautiful life.
