E Irondequoit: November 27, 2014 at age 86. Predeceased by his parents, Roy E.Sahm and Estelle Hoyt Baird. He is survived by his wife,Lois Day; children, David Sahm, Colleen (Jefffrey) Gillette of Rochester and Marleen (Jody) Hastings of Hederson NC; brother, Albert Sahm of Liverpool NY and sister, Ruth Tucker of Henderson NC; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and retired from the University of Rochester in 1996 as the head of Rotocom and a Supervisor of Telecommunications.
Wherever his travels led him Ralph always left everyone with a smile. He was loved by all and will be missed by many. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff and caregivers at St. Ann’s Community and the Leo Center for Caring for their loving care and support.
His Memorial Service will be held Sunday November 30th, 1PM at Bay Knoll SDA Church, 2639 E. Ridge Rd., Rochester, NY 14622, where he was a long time member, all are welcome.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Disabled Veterans Association or Bay Knoll Church. Interment to be done at a later date in Riverside Cemetery.
