Frederick (Fred) J. McCabe, 67, of Elmira, NY unexpectedly passed away on March 4th, 2021 due to complications from a recent stroke.
He was predeceased by his parents John McCabe and Carmelita (Fusare) McCabe, brother John McCabe, and sister Guinivere Durham.
Fred is survived by his wife of 40 years WyEdna McCabe, daughter Anna McCabe, son Frederick McCabe (with Elizabeth Bauza); sister Sr. John Christian, sister-in-law Jacqueline McCabe, and aunt Diane Fusare; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins (including “his favorite cousin”), extended family (he loved being “Cool Fred” to Milo), and friends.
Fred had many hobbies he liked to share with friends and family over the years. Some of hobbies included the Beer Can Collectors of America, tropical fish aquariums, stereo equipment, model trains, road trips and camping, Disney parks, cruises, and attending Renaissance festivals so he could wear kilts.
Fred’s “Celebration of Life Party” for family and friends will be held over the summer of 2021; exact date to be determined. Per Fred’s wishes there will be lots of burnt hot dogs and Beatles music.

If Fred had parting words for everybody, he would say “Well, it was nice seeing me”.
So sad to hear of Freddie’s passing. He was so young. My thoughts and prayers to his wife, Wy, and children, Anna and Frederick.
