Rochester, NY: June 27, 2021 at the age of 88. Joseph is predeceased by his wife, the love of his life, and loving mother to his son, Jean Oliva DiCarlo. He is survived by his son, Joseph Jr. (Kristina), and granddaughters Olivia Jean and Isabella Joy of Irvington, NY, and very dear friends, Joshua Magrum (Laura) and son Micah of Rochester, NY, and Stephen Stefanou of Dallas, TX as well as many family and friends in Western New York, New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
Joe retired from the insurance industry having previously enjoyed a successful career as a restauranteur and in the food service industry in New York City in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Having a lifelong passion for food, he took great joy in preparing gourmet home cooked meals for friends and family. Joe had a love for opera as well as both French and Italian culture and truly led a colorful and complete life. Joe is a veteran of the United States Army, having been drafted in the 1950’s.
