To my loving Sister, you will always be loved, a beautiful soul taken to soon. I have a hole in my heart that will never be the same, I will miss our conversations we shared together. Mona, we were lucky to have a had a wonderful childhood together, you were always happy, with a beautiful smile. Our teen life became a challenge during the sixties with the world going out of control with the Vietnam war. Our adult life, we both married and had new responsibilities with our families. Years passed you moved around to different states and our connection became lost for years. We connected back with each other when you moved back to New York. With all the craziness in the next forty years we became closer, supporting one another as brother and sister. In the end, when God called you home, my mind refused to let you go, the news ripped my heart and soul to pieces. Now as you lay in transit to your final resting place I still have a hard time and believe I will till I die. I miss my my best friend, my Sister, Rest In Peace my sweet one, knowing we will be together once more when I pass this life, and come home to you and mom, dad and family in Heaven. Please know I love you always, Joe.
Mona, there is never a day that goes by that we don’t think of you. We miss you. Dying so suddenly left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. We never got to say that final good-bye and tell you how much we loved you and appreciated all the great times and conversations we had. You were a wife, mom, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. You had a very generous heart and were highly thought of by all who met you. You will be missed and loved everyday even though you are not physically with us, you will remain with us in our hearts forever. Rest in peace.
Aunt Mona, it is with great sadness you have left this world, but God knew better, he called you home. You believed in my ability as an author, and I do remember back in 2007 you coming to Borders in Victor for support, and I have never forgotten. While, we never did get a chance to interact and become close, the fact that you cared for my father and filled the void he had with you not there was a blessing. I am so happy the both of you reunited being brother and sister once again. Rest in Peace my dear Aunt and make sure to check in on my dad from time to time. I love you and will never forget you.
Mona was a lovely, caring, and generous woman. She did not hesitate welcoming myself or my daughter (one at the time we met) into the family when we first met. She had one of the biggest hearts out of anyone I have ever met. She was taken too soon, but will not be forgotten but all those who met and loved her. Rest in peace.
Aunt Mona, we are saddened to hear of your passing. We will miss the smiles and your laughter. We are thankful that you were able to reconnect with family once again. In the end it’s not about material possessions, it’s about God and family. Lord willing, we will see you again.
Auntie Mona, you were such a sweet soul. I always remember your laugh and every time I would see you, you would pull me into a huge hug and it was so warm and loving. You always looked out for others and made volunteering and serving others a part of your everyday life, I take that with me in my life. Thank you for always being there for Pops, you two had such a strong bond -he would often tell me how much I remind him of you. Thank you for the memories Auntie, you are greatly missed ❤
