Janet L. (Rupert) French
Age 56
On October 13th, Janet departed peacefully after an arduous and valiant battle with breast cancer, while her devoted daughters lovingly held her hand.
Janet was exceptional; a renowned at-home singer, notable comedian, infamous storyteller, distinguished kitchen dancer, prominent healer of colds and famed holiday chef. Most importantly, she was notorious for being the greatest mother in the world.
Janet was loved by many.
Survived by her 4 children, Jennifer (Stephanie), Jacqueline, Jo-Lynn, and Jamie; her siblings, Barbara (Charles) Gannon, Gloria (Lawrence) Koch, James (Cathy) Rupert Jr., bother-in-law Ronald Fergen, sister-in-law Ruth Rupert, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; Spouse, John French
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Ada Rupert Sr. and siblings Charlotte Fergen, David Rupert and Marjorie Rupert
Janet will be remembered as a beautiful, loving, selfless woman. Her bravery, perseverance and strength – inspirational. Her kindness, compassion and generosity – honorable. She was extraordinary; the true definition of a hero.
Janet’s passion was her children. “My kids are my life. I love them more than any word can describe. They mean so much to me…”
Janet will be deeply missed, forever loved and always in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 14th, from 3-6 at Joey’s Party House, 1789 Penfield Road. Bring your smiles and fondest memories to share as we commemorate the loving life Janet lived.
