She loved to dance, especially a waltz. She loved the sunshine, watching the sun set, looking for stars, and taking rides to the lake. Walking was a favorite activity, and she was a familiar figure walking the length of the mall, or the length of the pier. She loved her family and was the matriarch of the family, sharing stories of Ireland and instilling a sense of pride in our Irish Heritage. She had an easy smile and a twinkle in her eye. There was always time for a cup of tea and a little bit of wisdom. There was fun and laughter and lots of hugs. She loved the little ones and had a special bond with them.

We would like to thank her loving caregivers, Ann, Mary, Pam and Pat,and especially Kathy Meagher and Jaimie Helfer for your compassionate care.

Goodbye for now, Peggy. I look forward to seeing you again on the other side. We had such fun together…riding the merry go round on “our” birthday, dancing at Orien’s and at the lake, sharing ice cream and broiled haddock. I always think of you when I pass by those places. I know you were ready to get to see your husband and son, as well as “the best” mother and dad. Knowing you has enriched my life.

The time I got to spend with Peggy was just priceless. I will never forget the walks on the pier, the dinners at JIm’s and then walk around the mall. The time we stopped by Marcy to hear my daughter in law sing at Christmas. She always made me smile and the hugs I would get from her. Peggy had blessed me by just getting to know her. I will miss her, but very greatful I got to meet her. Oh and lets not forgot Andy Griffth or Mash on TV. She was always making sure there was a blanket on the chair where I sat and if I didnt put the foot thing up on the Chair she would tell it would be better if I did. Oh Peggy what a wonderful Lady.
Now you can be with family again and God has another great angel in his mist.

I first met Mrs. Plummer when I went to a birthday celebration for her daughter, Karen, at their home. (Karen and I were in the seventh grade at the time.) It was my first sleepover. I remember how Mrs. Plummer welcomed me and made me feel comfortable. She was so friendly and kind! She was always smiling and calm even with a bunch of junior high girls sharing their camper. More recently, I have had the chance to talk with her at birthday celebrations for Karen. She exhibited such a sense of quiet joy, peacefulness, gratitude, and spiritual awareness. I am grateful for the opportunity to have known her and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with her, Karen, Peter, Colleen, and their whole family. Lovingly, Lorell
