Henrietta, NY: February 22, 2022. Impeccably funny, unrelentingly passionate, gregarious, generous, fiercely stubborn, and astoundingly accepting and loving. These are just a few of the qualities embodied by “The Captain”, Guy Ladiges. Guy had an infectious laugh, irresistible charm, and a sharp wit. He thought he was an expert at everything, but truth be told, he was really good at many things. (Guy would expect and appreciate a light roast in his obituary). He was especially good at building strong bonds and relationships with his many, MANY friends. Guy was the social director of his people and took great pleasure in organizing incredible experiences for his loved ones including annual events like pig roasts, white water rafting trips, and his signature event- Guy’s Annual Christmas Tree Day Extravaganza. Guy loved to play cards. He loved red wine and seafood. He loved to sing, play guitar and write songs. He loved his home, and, perhaps most of all…no, definitely most of all, he loved his five children. He was an example to all of how to live a beautiful life, full of joy, and void of regret.
Guy Ladiges was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 6, 1959. He attended Gates-Chili High school, and went on to enjoy a 30 plus year career as a realtor. Guy spent over 20 years with his wife Lynnette Ladiges with whom he had five children- Jessica (Massey), Jonchristian Ladiges, Justin Ladiges (Pamala), Jordan (Jake) Ladiges, and Jearic Ladiges. Guy was also a proud grandfather to James, Samuel, Francesca and Joseph (Sardo), Symone and Zora (Massey), Oscar Ladiges and Aurora Ladiges, and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother, David Ladiges (Jacqueline). He lived in his beloved old farmhouse in Henrietta for many years, and passed away peacefully on February 22, 2022, surrounded by his children.
There will be a celebration of life in honor of Guy on Sunday, March 6th, from 2-6 at The Genesee Valley Henrietta Moose Lodge, 5575 West Henrietta Rd. West Henrietta, NY 14586.
Guy will be sincerely missed. Much love and sympathy to Lynnette, Jessica, Jon, Justin, Jake and Jearic.

Guy – you were a true inspiration to us all. I’ll always remember our talks and I value every moment I spent with you. Like many others, I wish I had the opportunity to say goodbye my friend…till we meet again.
My deepest condolences. I did not know Guy personally, but Jake has been like a family member to us over the years making a bond with Makayla and Kody myself and Scott. Thoughts and prayers to you all.
Our deepest condolences to the family. Although we did not get to see each other a lot, anytime we reached out to our cousin he was always there, family meant everything to him and he loved his children more than anything. He leaves a hole in your heart for anyone who know him.
I was surprised and deeply saddened to hear of Guy’s passing! We met several years ago through Euchre tournaments and became great friends. My funniest memory is the first time I went to Guy’s house for a Euchre tournament. I was looking at the hundreds of 3×5 photos on his walls and saw one of MY daughter! Turns out our kids new each other as well. I love you and will miss you my friend!!
Sending my love to Guy and all of his family and friends. I’ll miss hanging out with him at the bar. He was always a bright light and so much fun. He will be greatly missed!
Love,
Kelle
So sorry to hear this news. Haven’t seen much of Guy during the recent craziness in the world, but all of us here at the Wadsworth Grill always enjoyed our time spent with Guy as he “taught” us the game of euchre…..He was a very uplifting spirit and will be missed for sure…..All our love and condolences to all his loved ones
