Nicholas Strippoli, 97 years of age, passed away at home on April 1, 2022.
Nicholas was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 1, 1924. He was a Pharmacist Mate in the US Navy from 1943 -1946. From 1946 – 1948 he attended Long Island Agricultural and Technical Institute in Farmingdale, L.I. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree form the University of the State of NY, Albany, NY.
Nicholas had a long career as a research biologist with Lederle Laboratories, American Cyanamid Co., Pearl River, NY, (36 years). He was retired from this company for 35 years!
Nicholas and Ethel Marie Jones, of Spring Valley, NY were wed in 1956. He and his wife lived in Stony Point, NY in Rockland County for 57 years before moving to Rochester, NY in 2018.
Nicholas is survived by his wife, three daughters, (Carol Kodweis, Cathy Strippoli, Annie Mooney), five grandchildren, (Jacob Kodweis, Rachel Kodweis, Hannah Gerstner, Holly Mulligan & Zander Strippoli) and three great grandchildren, (Sutton Gerstner, Riley Kodweis & Korbin Kodweis).
There will be a memorial service at Rochester Cremation, 1118 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 11:00AM-1:00PM after which he will be immediately laid to rest in Falls Cemetery, Greece, NY.
