Rochester, NY: Brian was called home to be with our Lord on April 3, 2022 at age 39.
Brian’s incredible legacy of LOVE and FAMILY will live on forever in the people he touched during his short time here with us. Brian lived a courageous life of love, honesty and authenticity. His quirky sense of humor was his and his alone. Brian will be dearly missed by his Mother Tina Blanchard, Father Mark Balbuena (Ana), Brother Dustin Balbuena (Kati), Sister Amber Balbuena, Step Father Clarence Blanchard, Brother Shayne Blanchard, Brother Benjamin Blanchard, Grandmother Cheryle Kelly (James) and his very large family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His work here is done, but we will carry on his legacy until we are together again.
Brian’s family would like to thank everyone for the love and caring support we have felt during this time. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Camp Good Days and Special Times or Wilmot Cancer Center.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the family home on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 1pm-5pm at 1648 Edgewood Ave, Rochester, NY 14618.
See you again someday soon little buddy. Uncle Kelly is always proud of you. All my love nephew.

Hey Bro, this still doesn’t feel real or right. I have spent so much time around you and I know of the battles that you have had since you were a kid. We’re linked because I’ve been through similar. I always thought that you were going to win. But I guess this battle was too much. I’m always going to cherish my time with you and I can’t wait to see you again when it’s my time. I love you bro and thank you for being my friend
I will never forget you I will always remember you you were always there for me threw some tough times always playing games and joking with me I will forever miss me.
Toughest guy I know. You fought like a champ for longer than anyone could have imagined. You touched so many peoples lives. We’ll see eachother again in heaven my friend.
It just doesn’t seem real. I just talked to you a few weeks ago, and now you’re gone. Me and the girls will deeply miss you.
I am so sorry for your loss prayers for the family. God will be there for you and with you
I’m so very sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. I once hired Brian at Walmart in Henrietta Store 1619, so many years ago. In recent weeks Brian would reach out through facebook. It was one way we could all stay connected to those we once worked with. He was hopeful, and upbeat. He thought for sure he would beat this. Heaven sure has a lot of great people in God’s presence. I’m sure Brian’s work in Heaven is just beginning. Tight Hugs to all his family, and Brian will be surly missed. My Sincere Condolences to all effected.
Cousin, we never really met but definitely knew of each other since we are family. I followed you on Facebook, as I do many of my family members, who live up north whom I don’t get to see much. You will be greatly missed but while you’re being missed down here I know you’re in a much better and happier place. Give Nana, Grandpa, Grandma Edy, and my Dad (your Uncle Joe) a huge hug for me and you guys keep watch over us. I love my many Angels.
Tina, I am so sorry to hear that Brian has passed. Although I didn’t get to know Brian as an adult I followed his life on Facebook and he seemed to be a wonderful young man. I remember all that you and your family endured when Brian was first diagnosed as a very young child with the surgery he had to have and everything he had to go through at such a young age. I know he is at peace now and will once again be reunited with everyone that loves him. God bless all of you, I am planning on being at the memorial service in May, see you then I still love and care about you.
Thank you Katrina
My old friend I lost touch with, my sincere condolences to all the family, when we were young the memories I have, will never be forgot, you were always upstanding and your mood was exuberant in the face of uncertainty how is it our generation was put through these trials. My heart aches with this knowledge of your passing, but I look to our creator and ask him to take this grand sole and treat him as king. Brian you are a hero and a warrior.
My deepest condolences to Brian’s family. Rest in Peace dear Brian.
Tina, I am so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Thank you Bob
Hello family. Although I never met Brian I feel like I know because his dad Mark is a dear friend and coworker of mine and he often mentioned Brian. He really loved all his kids and Brian will surely be missed. My prayers go out to the entire family and the lord guide you through this period of sadness
Bri, when I looked into your eyes I saw honesty, love and all things that were good, even though I moved away I have a lot of fun memories when we were at Bob’s house, you always had the best outlook on things and helped me when I had the android phone! I know you’re hanging out with Uncle Sam and hopefully he’s making you laugh, your love for family always warmed my heart and I will miss you everyday until we meet again, all my love always Aunt Deb❤️
Tina – all of us at the School of Nursing are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Your son and the rest of your family are blessed to have you as their mother. Your devotion, care and love for your family will help all of you through this difficult time. With warm support and my sympathy,
Dr, Maria Marconi
