Largo, Florida – Passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022.
Born in Rochester, NY on June 23, 1935, to the late Frank and Rose Sanger. She was predeceased by her husband Philip, son Ed Heberger, son-in-law Ed Holzermer, her brothers, Frank, Chet and Iggy.
She is survived by her daughters Cathy, Mary (Don), Phyllis (Ken), Sue (Dale) and her son Rick, her cherished grandchildren Christine (James), Andrew (Jenn), Donald (Lauren), Philip, Kelly, Jennifer (Jesse), Zachary and Kari (Anthony) and great grandchildren. Mourned by her sister Martha, sister-in-laws Renee Sanger and Pat Jason, many nieces and nephews.
She was a resident of Fairway Village in Largo Fl. She loved playing bingo, going to the casino, watching her soap operas and Downtown Abby, polish food and music, her job serving hot dogs at the Phillies Ball Park in Clearwater, FL and her amazing Christmas village.
Family and friends are invited to her mass Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 9:30 am at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church, 168 Spencerport Road, Rochester, NY 14606.
After we moved to fl. never got to see you much after Phil & Jim died. I will always remember what a good friend you weere to me. Rest in peace,

Michelle and I just want you to no how sorry we are for your loss. Our prayers are with you all.
Genny & I would get together with our friends that we worked with at the St Petersburg Times and our new friends about once a month. We worked together starting around 1985. She was just a wonderful person. She invited about 7 of us up for lunch one day and Phil made the most delicious French Onion soup. We stayed very close over the years. in fact got very close. We had many laughs and I loved her very much. I will miss her terribly. I’m very happy she spent her last days with her family that she dearly loved and that she didn’t suffer. My deepest sympathy to all of you.
To Gennys Family I want to offer our sincere condolences. We have been neighbors for close to 16 years. She and Phil were the heart ♥️ of our lives in FV.
If we were in need of anything…Phil had it. If we were in need of a laugh, Genny would be the one to cheer you up.
Gennys bingo days we’re sooo special. Her faith was something to emulate. Her love of family was remarkable.
Genny was always the first one to welcome us back from up North in the Fall.
I don’t know who will take her place as our neighbor, but I can assure you, it will always be Phil and Gennys heart beating across the street from us.
She was an amazing woman, a beautiful friend and I pray that she and Phil will look down on us with a smile, because I loved them both so much.
