W. HENRIETTA, NY – July 20, 2022 at age 94. Doris is predeceased by her parents, Robert E. Concha and Aurea E. Ganoza (both from Lima, Peru), step-mother Eleonore B. Concha (PA), brother-in-law Richard Fleming (PA) and niece Laura R. Fleming (PA).
Doris is survived by her sister, Karin Fleming (West Chester, PA); three children, John W Saunders Jr. (Rochester, NY), Roberta Adams (Monmouth Beach, NJ) and Garrett (Lori) Saunders (Greece, NY); four grandchildren, Leigh K. (Jon) Seeley (TX), Steven T. (Kayla) Adams (GA), Andrea E. (Brian) Fitzgerald (NJ) and Jesse J. Saunders (NY); two great grandchildren, Charlotte A. and Elizabeth K. Seeley (TX); and niece Jennifer Fleming Goossen (PA) and nephew Richard R. Fleming (NY).
Doris was raised in Long Island, NY, attended Oceanside High School and Meredith College in NC. She received her Masters Degree from Stony Brook University, while raising her family in Stony Brook, NY. In 1974 Doris and her family moved to Pittsford, NY, and she lived out the rest of her life in the Rochester, NY area. Doris enjoyed substitute teaching in the Pittsford and Henrietta School Districts while her children were still at home. Afterwards, she worked for and retired from Xerox Corporation as a Software Engineer.
Throughout her life Doris enjoyed being on and near the water, sailing and fishing with her father and the beach with family and friends. She also enjoyed the shows at Geva Theater and traveling, volunteering and socializing with her friends at Henrietta Senior Center. Most of all Doris loved spending time with her children, grands, great grands, grandpuppies and grandkitties, either in person or via FaceTime.
Mom/Grammie will be deeply missed.
