Rochester, NY: Passed away peacefully, after a long battle with Parkinson’s on 9/21/22 at age 75. John was predeceased by his wife, Dawn Edens and parents, John and Edith Edens. John leaves behind his two children, Jeanne (John) Pickens and Chad (Janette) Edens along with his four loving grandchildren, Telicea, Ilana, Josh and Chaz. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale (Karen) Edens, Ned (Lori) Edens, mother in-law, several wonderful sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and other beloved family members.
Some of John’s interests included cars, baseball, football, music and westerns. He loved his Mustangs and Football Sundays. He enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins, but John was most happy being around his family.
At his request, no service will be held. The Family would like to say a special thank you for all the support given during this time.
I just saw this sad news. I knew John way back in the day when we were both a couple of restless teens in the Sixties. I remember when he first started dating Dawn, who was a sweet kid. It’s been over 57 years since I last saw John, but have many fond memories of him and his brother Dale. I wish I had one more opportunity to reminisce with him. Rest in peace, John.
