Mary Ann Dickson, 78 of Macedon, NY. Passed away on November 4, 2022. Predeceased by her loving husband Burke Dickson, parents Frederick and Mary Jane Donaldson, and sister Kathleen Laurini. Survived by her son Lorin Laurini and his wife Ann, her daughter Hope Laurini, 2 brothers Steven Donaldson (Lane Macaulay) and Frederick Donaldson Jr.
Mary Ann was a caring and compassionate soul. She was a Nurses Aide for over 21 years at the Fairport Baptist Home, where she took a sincere interest in the lives of the residents. She took the time to get to know each one, quietly befriending many, and taking the time to learn their stories.
She was an avid reader, and had a lifelong appreciation for music and scary movies. She loved animals, and along with her husband, adopted and cared for many cats over the years.
Mary Ann lived her life without apology, made her share of mistakes, and accepted the lessons life had to teach her without complaint. She lived a private life, but for those close to her, her sharp wit and open heart knew few boundaries. She was devoted to her family and close friends.
For the past 4 years, she resided at the Highlands of Pittsford where she would periodically leave the comfort of her recliner to serve as frequent card shark and occasional firebrand.
