Joseph Doleski passed away on November 16, 2022. Born on January 11, 1938, in Canaan, New York. Predeceased by parents (John and Anna Doleski), siblings (Helen, John, and Frank), and wife (Diane Schoolmaster Doleski). Father of Dave and Janice (Jon). He was “Poppa Joe” to his grandchildren Jenny and Ryan.
He positively influenced his family with his extensive knowledge and insight in many areas. He cared for Diane during a long period of declining health. Joe worked at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for 43 years. He graduated from Cornell University with a degree in engineering and from the University of Rochester with an MBA. Joe mastered all aspects of computers, programming, databases and networks, leading to a career in information technology at the USDA. Joe spent his retirement years working on his house and helping Dave and Janice with their houses. Every spring, he looked forward to taking care of his lawn with his zero-turn mower and watching wildlife from his back deck in Victor, NY. He loved Williamsburg, Virginia and anything related to colonial times, especially antiques from that era. His house was his passion, and he spent years performing amazing home improvements on his own. His home improvement projects were big, impressive, and very high quality. Joe was a perfectionist and did everything in the extreme, with ambitious plans that were accomplished. Joe had a good life. We will miss him.

Dear Dave,
I remember meeting your Dad back in the day when he visited MD, including a few of those times when father and son worked for many hours on home improvements. I know you always looked forward to those times and visiting him in NY. Sending our heartfelt and deepest sympathies to you in this difficult time…
