He was such a great guy & friend.
I am deeply saddened by hearing that VJ has passed. He was a dear friend of my family. He lived a long life and we have many fond memories, and here are a few.
My late husband Smitty and neighbor Carl played golf with VJ several times a week. They played in the Bernard’s Grove Golf League, and I would join them after at the Grove for the 19th hole. Fun times!
For the Kentucky Derby and Triple Crown, VJ would bring us the forms, collect the bets and place them at OTB. We watched the race together at my house.
He introduced my grandsons to cannolis from the Italian Bakery, and for years he brought some when they came home from Virginia.
Every fall we would take a trip to Canandaigua Lake and Naples to see the foliage.
Love you VJ, may you rest in peace.
