Dawn Frances Mahaney Strassner (May 4, 1946 – June 30, 2023) peacefully after a long illness. She is predeceased by her parents, Daisy and Edward Mahaney, son-in-law, Steven Petralia, granddaughter, Shannon Petralia and beloved dog, Zoey. Dawn is survived by her husband, Harold, daughters Donna (Mark) Chapman, Linda (Brian) Root, Judi Petralia, grandchildren Sean Gallagher, Heather Gallagher, Michael (Skye) Petralia, Joshua (Amanda) Eggleston, Jacob (Sarah) Eggleston, Nicholas (Samantha) Petralia and great-granddaughters Teagan and Payton Gallagher.
She will be lovingly remembered for her love of family and animals, her delicious cooking and her famous birthday poems she wrote to her daughters.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lolipop Farm or to any local animal shelter of your choice.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm followed by a service at 3:00 at Rochester Cremation, 1118 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626.
