PITTSFORD, NY, July 10, 2023 at age 92. John is predeceased by his beloved wife of 71 years, Jessie L. Buzawa and son-in-law, Dr. Rick Holton. John is survived by son David (Ellen) Buzawa, daughters Catherine Holton, Carolyn (Paul) Black, and Elizabeth Tyson; grandchildren Jessica (Clint) Atkinson, Jon (Taylor) Buzawa, Eric (Mary Ann) Holton, Meg (Dan) Clement, Alex Holton, Katie (Eric) Harris, Matt (Rachna) Black, Allison (Matt) Dreher, Samantha (Tom) Davies, Jaclyn (John) McLean, Michael (Shannon) Tyson, Amanda (Paul) Sciarratta; 18 great-grandchildren.
John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was an accomplished optical physicist who enjoyed a long and satisfying career at Tropel, Inc. His wide-ranging contributions to the field of optical design are numerous and invaluable.
