James Allen Rock (Jim), Age 61, beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend passed away on August 22nd, 2023, in Rochester, NY.
Jim is survived by his loving girlfriend, Jeanine Battermann and her children and grandchildren; his daughters Jamie Rock-Vaughn (Chris), Aimee Rock, Ashley Rock, Kayte Rock (Dean), Olivia Rock, Alexa Rock, Grandchildren Lucy Rock-Cassata, Sophia Kajdas, Lanye Torgerson and Kuemmerle Mahoney; brothers Kenny Rock (Connie), Gary Rock (Gloria), Darryl Rock (Jen), Johnny Rock, Rick Rock (Holley), and Danny Rock (Chrissy); sisters, Peggy Parsons (Mike), Susie McCrossen (Doug “Fuzzy”), Missy Rock (Peter), Lynda Purcel (Cliff), and Uncle Vincent Sharkey (Melody); First wife Debra Rock, Second Wife Andrea Malafew as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Angie (Ma) Burger, Clarence Rock, sister Kathy Rock, Beverly Quinn, Brother Denton Rock.
Over the years Jim was an active golfer. He and Jeanine played often. Jim had an adventurous spirit, loved to be with his kids as they were growing up, coaching their sports, hanging out at Durand beach, camping, and fishing. Jim was crazy about Dave Matthews Band, loved cooking and hosting parties for friend and family.
Jim was a special person for forgiveness, humanity, family, connection, and community. Jim was a great friend and father and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone during tough times.
