Cynthia MacDonald 1955-2023
On the 18th of October 2023, Cynthia MacDonald, 68, of Greece, NY passed away losing her battle with cancer.
She was born in 1955 in Penfield, NY to William and Marion MacDonald whom preceded her in death. Cindy was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her children and family. She received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in 2012. Her passion for caring for others far extended past her degree and career in nursing, including caring for her pets, love of elephants and all of those people close to her.
Cindy’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of love and strength shared far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Cindy is survived by her loving son, Justin (Kimberly) Ziemniak; daughter Carrie Ziemniak; grandchildren Kaylee & Kaleb; sister Carol (Jerry) Erwin; sister Patricia MacDonald; and brother William MacDonald, III.
A private celebration of life will be held by family and close friends.
Justin, so sorry for your loss, I remember your mom from your kindergarten and again in high school. So many years. May your precious memories help you thru this very difficult time.
She had the sweetest soul, may she rest in peace and we all remember the memories we shared with her! My favorite was sitting with her at Kim’s bridal shower and how funny she was with my mom and I. We love you Ziemniaks!
We’re very sorry for your loss. Please let us know if you need anything at all
I’m so sorry Justin. She was a nice and caring person. I remember when she used to take of my sisters and I. Rest in piece Cindy
My dear sister Cindy, we will all miss you terribly. You were a loving, warm and resilient soul whose laughter made everything seem all right with the world. Thank you for being so thoughtful and helpful. You will be in my heart forever. Much love, Pat
Justin and Carrie I’m so sorry for your loss. I will miss her laughter, and the fun we had when we got together. Much Love
Carrie and Justin, we are so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was such a fun, loving, caring woman and we were blessed to have had her in our lives. We have so many fond memories camping in the Adirondacks, Rehoboth, and even just hanging out at good old Sparling Drive. We will miss her and are thankful we could call her our dear friend.

To Cindy’s family,
We just learned she has passed.
We want to express our sympathy to all.
We owned her house from 1994-2004 & appreciated how much she adored it. We hope she had a beautiful life there.
Warmly,
