Webster NY: December 9, 2015. Age 92. Survived by 2 daughters, Cindy Ambrose (Daniel) and Candice Fischbach (Larry), and 5 grandchildren, Jesse and Sarah (Cindy’s) and Karl, Erika and Derek (Candy’s), and 5 great grandchildren. Bob and his wife Helen, built their first home on Dewitt Road by hand in 1947. He is a Navy veteran of World War II and saw combat duty in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1944. He is a retired employee of Sears, YMCA, MCC and BOCES where he was at the forefront of teaching solar energy (among many other things) when not too many people knew what it was. He was the kind of person that if anyone asked him for help, he always said yes.
A Mass will be held for him on Saturday, January 16th at 11:15 am at St. Rita’s Church (Webster) followed immediately by a celebration of his life at his home in Webster.
