Statesville NC/Victor NY: Allen Melville Everdyke, 79, of Statesville, NC and Victor, NY, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. Allen worked in construction for over 50 years as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor. In his retirement years, he enjoyed restoring old farm tractors, specializing in Farmall and International.
Allen was predeceased by parents, Leonard and Elsie Everdyke; brother, Norman Everdyke; daughter, Carol Bauer; mother-in-law, Florence VerPlank; sister-in-law, Joyce Everdyke; and brother-in-law, George Beadle. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Joan VerPlank Everdyke; daughters, Kim (Jack) Bills, Carla (Mike) Cleary, Kathy Everdyke; son-in-law, Michael Bauer; stepsons, Jeffery (Mindy) DeRidder, Todd (Sherry) DeRidder, Kevin (Lori) DeRidder; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandsons; siblings, Clifford (Joyce) Everdyke, Gordon Everdyke, Laura Bueg, Leo (Audrey) Everdyke, Arola Beadle, Loren Everdyke, Morris (Sue) Everdyke; mother of his daughters, Sharon Everdyke; and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Respecting Allen’s wishes there will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
