Waterloo, NY: February 15, 2017 at age 55.Donna was predeceased by both parents Richard VanDamme and Carol Carson as well as other aunts and uncles on both sides. Donna is survived by her two children: Michael McConachie, and John (J.J.) Skinner Jr., her siblings: Shirley Marsh (VanDamme), Sheila Flynn (Carson), Victoria Keenly (VanDamme), Louis Carson, Richard Van Damme as well as several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed helping others and was a very loving person.
Donna Jean was my sister and I cared for her from shortly after her accident, which put her in the nursing home, until just shortly before her death. She was a joy to be around, even after the accident left her unable to speak!! She touched the heart of many who met her. She was full of laughter and had that sparkle in her eye!!! She really loved her music and at one point, i was even able to get her to “sing” along with her favorite song “Going to the chapel” by the Dixie Cups. Her death was so sudden that i am still in shock and can’t believe she’s gone 🙁 🙁 Donna…you are now in the care of Mom and Dad and i’m so very glad that you are no longer in pain or suffering. Give all our family up there huge hugs and kisses from Vicky and I and we WILL be together again when Vicky and my time has come 😉 Love you so very much, Sis and you will be missed every second of every day <3 <3 <3
