Nancy, Mary, Danny, Jeff and Tim,
We have long been expecting the news about Ray. He certainly did live a long life in an abnormal way, so we have to say it is a blessing for him and his whole family. We hope he died peacefully. We’re sorry the ending of his life was so sad for so many. He really has to stand out in medical journals for the length of time he lived with so many medical problems.
Love and blessings to all,
Vance and Elsie

Dear Ray, (“Ay” as Christy called you)
As we say good by to you, we can’t help but remember when you came into our lives so many years ago. I remember thanking you when you married our mom and saying you had brought a smile back to her face.
Over the years our relationship with you had grown and our lives were intertwined as though we had always known each other.
During your illness our mom, your Mary, willingly and lovingly encouraged you with words and deeds. Giving herself unselfishly and visiting you, reading to you, taking you for walks, holding your hand, advocating for you and giving you hope for better health.
The days she spent with you at the end will never be enough to take away her hurt.
You are now at peace and we all send you off with a piece of our hearts.
We know of your love for mom and hers for you.
Our wonderful and happy memories of you will remain in our hearts Ray. I can hear the music of Ray Fairchild playing for you right now.
We have all envisioned you on the shore in Maine eating your lobster and being home at last.
I can only imagine the beauty of the angels surrounding you with their love.
We will be your family for all of eternity.
All of Love, Chuck, Shelley, Rory, Anna, Terry, Christy, Bob, Lisa, Douglas, Anna and Lennon.
We as a family loved Ray very much and blessed we were having him in our life . For the last four years, it really was my loving mother Mary Robbins who herself alone everyday faithfully stood by Rays side giving him the loving encouragement and the inspiration that would keep Rays dignity and sense of spirit, that this affliction often takes away from one . In the very last days it was my Moms hand that Ray with closed eyes would be reaching out for and holding tight close to his heart . I really believe that he felt a sense of contentment as the Lord reached out for him .
Ray you will always and forever be in our heart .

We are so sorry to hear of Ray’s passing. Please take comfort in knowing that you were there for him with your constant visits, love and support. He was so appreciative of all you did for him and I know how much you will miss him. Your dedication was inspiring. We will miss him too, it was always fun to have him visit our Rotary meetings and he spoke so fondly of you all. God Bless you all.
Love,
Ed and Mary Kay
Ray was a super individual, and I liked him very much. Soft spoken, never shown any hostility towards anyone. Rest in peace my friend.
To the family of Ray Robbins, my condolence, and remembrance. With my memories of uncle Ray, I hold with fondness. Every family get together Ray, and I would talk, and he would recall his camping episodes up in the Adirondacks mountains (which he loved), with his sons. One in particular, was when they crawled into their sleeping bags, and tents, woke up the next morning buried in snow. He said they had to dig themselves out! May God bless you, and Rest in peace.
I was very sorry to read about Ray’s passing. Ray worked with and for me at Xerox many years ago in the Components Engineering Group. He was a pleasure to work with, a true gentleman and I enjoyed talking with him about non worked related topics. He had some interesting and good stories to share.
Very sad to lose a beloved friend and neighbor.
In earlier days I remember Ray’s strength of body, spirit, and mind, his quick Maine wit, and the lovely canoe trips we had at Mendon Ponds Park, as well as a great dinner on the Maine shore when Myrtle was alive.
You are missed, Ray!
