Rochester: passed away suddenly on December 12, 2013 at age 80. Dick was a Navy Veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 118. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Donna (nee Leppla), his children Carol (Mark) Buehler, Lori Kutsche, Michelle (Don) Rafoth, Karen (Mark) Thiel, Richard Voelkl, Jr., Marie (Chris) Demperio and Charlene Voelkl, 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to a Memorial Service to be held at11:00 a.m. on March 29, 2014, at Christ the King, Kings Highway, Irondequoit, NY. Also, a Mass in honor of Dick will be heldJuly 6, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at St. Cyril Church, 17 Rock Street, Alexandria Bay, NY.

I am grateful to have spent time down in front by the St.Lawrence River listening to Dick tell me about earlier years.
He was a genuine, down to earth, respectful. gentle and kind human being.

Since I started working at Holy Rosary in 1993 he was always willing to help me out; from picking up the grounds or helping to set up for the festivals. He was a great guy and will be missed.
