Elmer Betron, 71yrs old of Rochester NY passed away on February 5, 2019 in Rochester NY.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on February 9, 2019 with the Pastor Drew of Northfield Church in Pittsford NY, officiating. Reception will follow at the same location.
Elmer Betron was born in Tacloban City to Mike and Rosario Betron on May 20, 1947. He married Minda Valenzuela on January 2, 1977 in Lamao Philippines. He graduated from Cebu Polytechnic and worked as a master mariner for various companies such as NAESS Shipping for 20 yrs. He was a veteran and served in the Army Ranger and later as a Merchant Marine. He was involved in the Freemasonry organization and the Northfield Church in Pittsford.
Elmer is survived by his wife Minda Betron, his children Ole, Olsen, Florence and Elmer Jr. and his siblings, Stanley, Sarah, Sandra, Marinius and Lana Betron.
Memorials may be given to Betron family who wishes to extend their sincere thanks to family and friends as well as the Strong Memorial ICU staff.
My sincere condolences goes out to Auntie Minda, cousins Flo, JR, Ole, and Olsen. This has been difficult for me as well, because Uncle Elmer was very much like a father I never had. I am grateful for all the memories.
