Burton J. Elliott, 84 of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20th, 2019. He was born January 6th, 1935 to Clifford H. Elliott Sr. and Alice E. Davis.
Burt was a fun loving, hardworking man who never seemed to stop. He worked as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator, supervisor and security guard. In his retirement he was the proud caretaker of local cemeteries. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burt loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed sharing his “DIY” knowledge and attitude with all.
Burt is survived by his beloved wife Doris of Wyoming; two brothers, Clifford H. Elliott Jr. of Pavilion and Thomas (Clara) Elliott of Attica. Burt is also survived by his children Greg Elliott of Batavia, Jean (John) Kreutter of Wyoming, Kathy (Sean) Gallivan of Lockport, Denise (David Clor) Sprague of Pavilion, Doug (Kim) Elliott of Pavilion, Diane (Jamie) Cleveland of Wyoming, David (Linda) Elliott of Perry, Chris (Rhonda) Elliott of Nunda, and Brian(Renee) Elliott of Willacoochee, GA; two stepdaughters Carol Griffith of Williamsville and Joan (David) Sherman of Wyoming, and twenty five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
A service honoring Burt is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 24th, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, 286 Linwood Avenue, Warsaw, New York. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
