Rochester NY:  April 13, 2016.  Freddie Lee Young is survived by his wife, Okeyi Simmons; Predeceased by his parents, Othello Thomas and Frankie Mae Young. Predeceased by his 3 rd wife Carrie Young, step-children; Jimmy Steffenhagen, Becky Steffenhagen, Jesse Steffenhagen. Survived by his 2 nd wife, Jewel Young. Survived by 1st wife, Cassandra Christian, and child, Latoya Young; step-children Jackie Wright, William Wright. Two sons from previous relationships; Durune Young, Freddie Young Jr. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His three brothers, Simon McGill (Annie Lois), Robert Lee Young (Merlene), Ronald Young (Pamela), Donald Young (June Delores). Two special nieces, Phyllis and Sandra McGill and a host of other nieces, nephews and family and friends.

He was born July 10, 1957 to the union of Othello Thomas and Frankie Mae Young in Sanford, Florida.  He attended Seminole County Schools until 1966.  The family moved to Rochester, New York, where he continued his education at the Rochester City School District. Freddie work as a construction worker with the Local 435 Union and other construction companies in Rochester NY.  He was also a dedicated worker with the City of Rochester until he was unable to continue working. He enjoyed driving 18 wheelers and dump trucks after completing tractor trailer school in 1980. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

His Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 10:30 at Riverside Cemetery, Chapel of Peace, 2650 Lake Avenue.
