Alan attended Gates Chili High School Class graduating in 1973. He attended MCC earning an associates in applied science in accounting in 1976. Alan was employed at Eastman Kodak for 26 years hoping to retire from there, but life had other plans. He worked as a production coordinator at Unither Pharmaceuticals until retiring in January of 2022 to spend much needed time with Lin and his sons. Bicycling, concerts, trips out west and to favorite destinations, became our passion. We conquered many rail, canal and greenway trails in the area and around Ithaca. We even biked around Conesus Lake last summer! Despite the cancer diagnoses in 2019 we enjoyed life to the fullest. Alan’s strength and willingness to conquer anything kept him going. This summer cancer began to take over and Al fought so hard. We brought him home and eventually he needed assisted care at the Advent House. Lin, Bryan and Brandon were at his side and said their goodbyes and shared their final thoughts. Alan also expressed his final thoughts…
“I would like to say a special thank you to the numerous friends and family that have been along on this crazy thing called life with us.”
May the wind be at your back…
All my love, Lin
