Ann Marie McAvinney, age 68 of Rochester, NY, passed away suddenly on December 20, 2023.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Eleanor (Bergman) McAvinney. Ann is survived by her brother, Thomas McAvinney (JudieLynn Nassar McAvinney), her nephew Patrick, and her niece Brenna McAvinney Bonis (Michael). She was a loving great aunt to Elijah Edward, Hazel Rae, and Oliver Thomas Bonis. She is also survived by her cousin Karol (Nuijens) Marker (Don)
Although Ann never married, she had a very meaningful relationship with long-time companion, Jim Kunst, with whom she shared many life experiences. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and great aunt who adored her family and was known by her nieces and nephews as “Auntie Ann”.
Ann had a passion for reading, travel, and spending much of her time with family and friends. Ann lived in the 19 th ward her entire life. She graduated from Good Counsel Grammar school in 1968 and then from St. Agnes High School in 1973, both of which were formative influences in her later life.
Ann had a professional career at Chase Bank for over 32 years. After retiring from Chase, Ann continued a career at Rochester General Hospital, where she developed lasting friendships with her colleagues, whom she loved and held dear to her heart.
Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A service will be held in her memory Wednesday August 14 th 2024 at 11:00am at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd. Pittsford, NY. Interment to follow.
