Passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022. Beloved daughter, sister, wife,
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by
her parents Kozma and Sophia Hunka, sisters; Marianne Chernetz, Katherine
Kruk, and Alicia Billings; Husband Jack Salisbury. Survived by her daughter
Kathleen Mara, son John Salisbury; grandchildren Favor (Schulz) Cabic and her
husband Dan, Aaron Schulz, Vanessa (Salisbury) Lasher, and her husband
Sean, and Patrick Salisbury; great-grandchildren Dylan and Dawson Cabic,
Alexander Conti, Callie and Aidan Lasher, Robert and Emily Salisbury; niece
Sherry Johnson: nephews Michael and Stephen Kruk.
Anna graduated from Monroe High School in Rochester New York in 1944. She
raised two children with her husband Jack. She retired from Kaiser Insurance
from her position as office manager in 1997. She was an active member of the
Daphne twig and volunteered at the Twig gift shop at RGH for many years. She
also volunteered in the American Legion Auxilary unit #474 serving in the
positions of secretary and treasurer and coordinator of the annual poppy sale
campaign. She was a skilled opponent playing euchre and canasta. She loved
gardening, winning the best garden award at her apartment complex for 5
consecutive years. She enjoyed quality time with her family and friends and
always had a kind word for anyone.
The family would like to thank the volunteers and staff at the House of John in
Clifton Springs for their kind, compassionate care in her final days.
Memorial services will be held at a future date determined by the family.
