Greece, New York: Barbara (Bonnie) Todt, 72. Bonnie passed peacefully at the beautiful Hildebrandt Hospice Center on September 10, 2019.
Bonnie was happiest when helping others, was always putting the needs of others above her own. A caring heart, she was an animal lover and gave a loving home to many rescues. She found satisfaction volunteering at a cat shelter and the Gates Public Library. Bonnie was an avid reader and had hundreds of books. She never passed up a book sale. Her chocolate chip cookies were Rochester famous and will be missed.
Her strength and stubbornness helped her through the pains of rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years, and since 2017, she fought a battle with cancer. She fought with grace, dignity and humor. Her family is grateful to her oncologist Dr. Jennifer Brown -Broderick, nurses Tatum and Annette Grace and the outstanding loving and compassionate staff of the Hildebrandt Hospice Center.
Survived by her daughters, Amy Nicometo (Jeremy McBeth) and Jennifer (Brandon) Purcell. Grandchildren Bryan Schmidt, Dane Schmidt, Jakob Nicometo, Kayla Purcell, Zander Purcell, cousin and best friend, Foof.
Bonnie’s life was such a gift to her family and friends. She lives on in those whose lives she touched.
Her Funeral Mass will be at St Charles Church 3003 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY on Saturday September 28th at 9:30am.
