Schoonmaker, Evans, “Kathy”
Rochester NY: May 28, 1946-September 4, 2016. Despite a strong will to live, Kathy passed away September 4, 2016 in Rochester, at age 70, after battling multiple health issues. She was predeceased by her siblings Ronald, James, Sandra and Cynthia Lou Schoonmaker and stepdaughter Rosemary Doran-Gremelsbacker.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph S. Doran, son, Kevin Curtis; daughters, Kimberly (Lloyd) Gohn, Karen Papocchia, and Meagan (Joseph) Evans-Saurini; stepson Stephen (Eileen) Doran, stepdaughter Eileen (Christopher) Wrona; grandchildren, Kacie, Kirsten, Morgan, Bryce, Nichole, Jessie, Devin, Jason and Dylan; brothers Richard Hopkins, Lawrence Stack, Alfred (Barbara) Schoonmaker, William Schoonmaker; brother-in-law Dewayne Geer; sister-in-law Bertha Schoonmaker and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Norwich, NY, Kathy grew up in Hancock, NY, but lived much of her life in Rochester. Kathy was Manager of The Nut Store, in Brighton and a Regional Service Manager with Meyer Cookware. Kathy was devoted to genealogy and spent hours researching her family tree. She was skilled in photography, loved gardening quilting and was an accomplished musician. Kathy most enjoyed traveling with her true love Joe. Kathy joined those she loved, who passed before her and will live in our hearts forever.
A Gathering and Remembrance of Kathy’s Life, by family and friends, will be held on November 26, 2016 from 4PM to 7PM at Brook-Lea Country Club, 891 Pixley Rd., Rochester. All are welcome.
