Canandaigua, NY: Carol passed away after a valiant four-year battle with cancer at age 67 on July 27, 2019.
Carol is survived by her husband Thomas M. McKenna, Jr.; son Thomas K. (Julie) Bowman, daughter Kristine (Christian) Champion; grandchildren Nicholas, Jessica and Jillian Bowman; Elise and Luke Champion; her mother Barbara J. Smith; sisters Diane (Larry) Weber and Marilyn (Bill) Bohrer; and brother Richard (Cathy) Leonardo; uncle James Feeley; special cousin Joann Spano; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Richard Leonardo.
Carol had an accomplished sales career with Frontier Communications and Time Warner. She was an outstanding cook and fun-loving hostess providing memorable times for family and friends alike. She enjoyed vacationing in the 1000 Islands, Las Vegas and Venice, Florida sharing great times with those she loved.
Carol was a loving wife, and the best mother, grandmother, sister, and friend anyone could have. Carol will be remembered for her strength, her selflessness, and her infinite wisdom.
Per Carol’s wishes there will be no visitation. Final arrangements will be private.
