Rochester NY: Carolyn M. Hesselbach made her transition on October 1, 2015 at 4:07AM. She was under the loving care of the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, NY. Carolyn’s passing was not a big surprise for those of us close to her. She had been able to say her goodbyes to all those she had wished to. She had wanted to leave for a long time and yet kept beating the odds. She had a strong constitution. Carolyn was born January 3, 1962. She worked different jobs she loved. For instance she was a baker and she was also helping in a career counseling center. Carolyn dealt with difficulties through humor and touched many of us in handling the last phase of her life. When you entered her apartment you were immediately struck by the number chimes hanging everywhere. Carolyn also had a passion for the history of the Civil War and reenactments. She was a wealth of information about what was proper at the time, and was also an accomplished seamstress for period clothing. Survivors include her parents Carl and Kay Hesselbach, and her brother and sister-in-law Carl and Teri Hesselbach.
Carolyn did not want a memorial service; she preferred a celebration of her life service. It will be held at 4929 Collett Rd., Farmington, NY 14548, Sunday October 25, 2015 starting at 3PM . The service will be followed by potluck refreshments.
Carolyn was allergic to most flowers so she suggests, in lieu of flowers, to send a donation to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center (call 585-214-1107 ) or to the Advent House of Perinton, NY (Contact Jeanne Kremers, Advent House Business Manager, at 585-223-6112 ). All donations are tax deductible.
