Catherine Louise Schramm

Catherine Louise Schramm (née McDonald), 72, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Rochester, New York.

Born on August 27, 1952, in Rochester, Catherine spent her life surrounded by family and friends who cherished her deeply. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who found immense joy in the company of her friends and loved ones.

Catherine is survived by her children: Stephen (Tracee) Short, Charles (Heather) Short, Danielle (Danny) Albano, Jennifer (Jason) Ard, Thomas (Carrie) Schramm, Carol Schramm, and Chris (Sue O'Mara) Schramm. She also leaves behind her brothers Jim (Karen Wermuth) McDonald and Dan (Betsy) McDonald and many nieces and nephews. Her legacy continues through her 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Schramm; her parents, Robert and Dorothy (Koza) McDonald; her parents-in-law, Henry and Barbara Schramm; her sister Ellen Perkins; brother-in-law Leonard Perkins; and her sister-in-law Betty Ann McDonald.

Catherine had a passion for spending time with family. She enjoyed dinner and cards with friends most Friday nights, which brought her much laughter and joy. She loved the New York Yankees. Some of her favorite games were Bingo Blitz and Phase 10.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on July 12, 2025, at Spencerport Assembly of God. Details to follow.

Her warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
