Greece NY: Christian Frederick Dudley- (September 1, 1952- June 21, 2019) 66 years old of Rochester, NY passed away peacefully Friday evening in his home with loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chris grew up in Horseheads, NY and spent his adult life in Rochester, NY. Chris was a graduate of Horseheads High School, Corning Community College and SUNY Brockport. Following graduation Chris settled in Rochester and spent his career as a Supervisor with the Monroe County Government until his retirement in 2007. During his retirement years he cherished his time in the outdoors riding his bikes on the Greenway Trail, hiking and landscaping their backyard retreat to attract birds and other wildlife to watch each day. Chris had a voracious love of history and politics. He was an exceptional cook, enjoyed playing his guitars and listening to music. Most of all he loved his getaways with Michelle to camp in the charming town of Angelica, NY.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Michelle, daughters Carrie Klein (Davina Leong) of Portland, Oregon, Darcy Bennett D’Errico (Patrick) of Saint Augustine, Florida and Vanessa Dudley (Chris Gomez) of Staten Island, NY, his grandchildren Brendan and Keira D’Errico, nieces, Amber Love Jones (Jeffrey) and Alexandra Williamson, many extended cousins and dear friends, especially the Stutzman and Raber families with whom he spent countless happy hours.. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Beverly DaSilva Dudley, father, Frederick Dudley, and his sister Nancy Dudley Love
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 27 from 4-6pm at Ridgemont Country Club, 3717 West Ridge Road, Rochester NY 14626.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christian’s memory to Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester.
