Rochester, NY: May 18, 1954 – May 7, 2023
Daniel is predeceased by his parents Thomas & Florence (Conners) Wawro, his brothers, James T. Wawro, Michael T. Wawro, and Mark T. Wawro. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Linda Henning-Wawro, his step-children Kaity (Henning) Ryan, and Sean Henning and his grandchildren, Jaxson & Colbie Ryan, His sister, Kathy Decker, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Danny had a long career in the printing and mailing business, where he made many good friends. He loved planning trips/adventures for his family and friends to State Parks, waterfalls, star gazing, golfing, to keep us all together and connected in each other’s lives. He was noted for his sayings, a favorite was “If I love someone, then I love the people they love too”. Wise words to ponder.
The Dash
“I read of a man who stood to speak at a funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning…to the end. He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears but said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time they spent alive on earth, and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own, the cars…the house…the cash. What matters is how we lived and loved and how we spend our dash.”
Please come celebrate our time with Dan and “his dash” on his birthday, May 18.
The celebration will be on Thursday, May 18 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Sunnyside Lodge at Black Creek Park, 3835 Union Street, Chili. Come prepared with your memories to share- in a style that Dan would expect!
