David B. Robinson of Greece, NY, age 92. 08/11/1928 to 01/09/2021
Predeceased by Virginia, his wife of 69 years. Survived by loving children David (Jo) Robinson of Oakland, Ca. Patricia (Jeffrey) Brewer of Cardiff, Ca. Carolyn (William Frearson) Costain of Greece, N.Y. and Christine (Thomas) Ridley of Rochester N.Y. Also survived by six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
David received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Rochester. He taught at Charlotte High School; and then served as a teacher and administrator in the Greece Central Schools for 25 years, where he was Superintendent from 1969 -1983. He was the founding President of the Aesthetic Education Institute, a regional teacher training organization affiliated with the Lincoln Center in New York City. From 1983-1993 he was Director of Financial Aid at the Eastman School of Music. He was a trustee of the Greece Public Library.
Contributions in his memory may be made to The UR Class of 1950 Scholarship Fund, or the Greece Public Library.
A celebration of his and Virginia’s lives will be held when we are able to gather safely.
