Rochester NY: David J. Corcoran- 64, Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, June 21,2018 after a tough battle with cancer. He was born in Smithtown, NY to the late John (Jack) and Lois (Wilson) Corcoran. Dave was also predeceased by his in-laws, Douglas and Joan Lloyd, and his nephew David Lloyd.
Dave is well known from the Rochester band Duke Jupiter which gained fame in the 1980s with hits including “I’ll Drink To You” and “Little Lady.” His career as a musician brought about long-lasting relationships with people in the Rochester music scene and across the country. David’s love for music shaped his entire life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Elizabeth (Liz) and his children Jackson and Grace (Trevor Jessop). Dave is also survived by his sister Patricia (George) Psota of Long Island; brothers John and Thomas (Bonnie) of Rome, NY; brothers-in-law D. Michael (Charlene) Lloyd and Mark Lloyd; and sisters-in-law Mary Jo (Alexander) LaVilla, Martha (Barry) Nasca and Catherine Egan, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors, buddies and pals.
Dave’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful physicians and nurses at the Wilmot Cancer Center and UR Medicine Home Care for their exceptional care and kindness.
There will be no prior calling hours. Family and Friends will gather for a Memorial Service to celebrate his life on Thursday, June 28 th at 11am in the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park.
