Fairport, New York: Passed away June 15, 2020 at age 74.
Previously deceased by parents John and Dorothy Suski, and his sister Patricia Miller. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita, nieces Maureen Turner, Michele Schutt, Melissa Jozwiak.
In 1969, after an honorable discharge from the United States Navy, he moved from Cheektowaga, New York to California to pursue a college education using the GI Bill. He attended San Francisco University and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1974.
He returned to New York State to marry his wife Anita who had provided nursing care to his mother. He enjoyed hiking in the woods, vacationing in the Finger Lakes, and visiting New York State parks. His passion was downhill Skiing. He enjoyed many yearly trips out west with his wife and ski club friends. He was an avid reader, enjoyed reading fiction, non-fiction and the newspaper. He also, enjoyed watching the New York Yankees but had a special place in his heart for the San Franscico Giants because he lived in the Bay area for 25 years. He belonged to the Monroe Ski Club and Rochester Ski Club.
Special family members include Karen Brege, Kathleen Brege, and Kathleen Brown Brege. Nephew-in-laws Jacob, Jason and Brandon Brege. Niece-in-law, Megan(James) Burroughs. David had a special bond with Jackson Brege who was like a grandson to him. A special friend, Dr. David Reed shared fishing, skiing and many family parties with David. A long-time friend from California, Paul Petrig worked alongside David and enjoyed many ski trips with David and Anita.
David has one request that any man who knew him and loved him will have a P.S.A. Blood Test each year in his honor.
Private prayer service for family and friends will be held at the family’s convenience.
