Rochester: March 30, 2015, left behind his wife of 27 years, Nancy (Gabrielsen) Tinnes, five children: Heidi K. Tinnes (Laurie Ray), Sarah E. Tinnes, David M. Tinnes (Jennifer), Eric Gabrielsen (Kristen), Alex Gabrielsen (Tracy) and six grandchildren, who were a constant delight to him. He started his career as an engineer at NASA in Huntsville, Alabama and went on to enjoy a lengthy career at Eastman Kodak. He loved crafting beer and listening to all kinds of music. He was passionate about designing and building canoes, flying airplanes, and mentoring and helping children to discover a love for math. He enjoyed his volunteer work with Rochester City Schools, WXII, and the Democratic Party. His family and friends loved his magnificent voice, unique sense of humor, and amazing brain. He touched many people with his faithful and generous heart.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 from 4-7pm at David and Nancy’s home at 245 Highland Parkway in the Highland Meadows.
