Douglas A. Reed, 65, of Hilton, NY, passed away on June 13, 2023. He was born on September 10, 1957, in Rochester, NY. He was the son of the late Alva E. Reed and Barbara Reed.
Doug attended Sacred Heart Primary School and graduated from World of Work High School. He furthered his education at Monroe Community College. Doug worked at Rochester Precision Optics until his retirement in 2012. He was a hard-working and dedicated employee who took pride in his work.
Doug had many hobbies, including muscle cars, drag races, boating, snowmobiling, and riding roller coasters. He was always up for an adventure and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Doug is survived by his mother, Barbara Reed, and his siblings Gary (Donna) Reed, Sharon Ager, Stephen (Cindy) Reed, and Brian (Yola) Reed. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alva E. Reed, his brother Kenneth E. Reed, and his niece Lindsay Ager.
A graveside life celebration service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at noon at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery (North 10 section).
Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
