Douglas Blue III

Doug Blue III died peacefully at home in Pittsford NY on April 1, 2025 at age 73. Predeceased by parents Arline and Douglas Blue Jr. Survived by wife Jane Tuttle and first wife, Barbara Blue, and their children Kelley (Sean McCausland) and Doug IV, Jim (Jennifer Cohen) Smith, grandchildren Harper, Cameron, and Addison, siblings Laurie (Doug) Scribner and Tim Blue, cat Norman, and many close friends.

Doug led a vivid and multifaceted life including falconry, martial arts, cycling, hiking, snowshoeing, and steam in the garden railroading among many other activities. With brother-in-law Doug Scribner and others, he completed the cross-country Cannonball Baker road race twice. He had a long career as a real estate appraiser with Midland Appraisal Associates before retiring in 2017. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. We will celebrate Doug's life on Saturday June 7, 2025 from noon to 6pm at the Devil's Bathtub shelter at Mendon Ponds.
