Fairport, NY: Elizabeth George Kinsman died on October 21, 2019.  She was 90 years old or possibly 180, as she celebrated her birthday twice a year.  Betty was predeceased by her husband Bill Kinsman in 2016.  She is survived by her five children, Robert (Bettina), Susan (Scott) Kelso, Andrew, Thomas (Lynn), and Ted (Margot Buschang), 15 grandchildren, her siblings Sally DeRue, Harriet Ogden, and Clint George, as well as dear friends and compassionate aides.

Betty was a life-long artist.  Among her many accomplishments, she is well known for her Stone Mosaics made from stones she collected at Keuka Lake.  Her hooked rugs reflect original designs and exceptional craftsmanship.  Betty always made a house an artful home.  She was also a lover of folk music and a member of Golden Link Folk Singing Society since the 1970’s.

A world traveler, Betty also opened her home to bed and breakfast guests and was a most gracious and interesting host.  She and Bill welcomed numerous international exchange students and mentored many young people.  She was also a founder of the Rochester Ronald McDonald House rummage sale.

A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held November 10 th at 1:00pm at the Legacy at Clover Blossom, 100 McAuley Dr, Rochester, NY 14610.
