Frank C. “Chip” Lillich Jr., 83, of Rochester passed away on February 10, 2024 after a long illness. He was born May 12, 1940 to Frank C. Lillich and Marie (Weldon) Lillich. He graduated from the Allendale School in 1958 and from the University of Rochester in 1963 with a degree in business administration.
For several decades, Chip owned two income tax preparation businesses, Yates Credit Corporation and Lillich’s Tax Service. He retired to Florida for several years but eventually returned to Rochester. Chip was a renowned golfer, winning the RDGA championship eight times and the Oak Hill Country Club championship fourteen times. He was inducted into the University of Rochester Athletic Hall of Fame and the RDGA Hall of Fame.
He was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Lana (DuBois) Lillich. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Beckford (Kevin) of Pittsford and Susan (Bruce Porth) of Vermont and three granddaughters, Lily and Rachel Porth and Paris Beckford.
The family thanks the staff of St. John’s Home for their care and compassion for Chip over the past several months. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
