Frank Henry Mocniak

March 6, 1957 — March 1, 2025

West Henrietta

Frank Mocniak, born on March 6, 1957, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Frank was the son of the late Henry and Genevieve Mocniak. Frank was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Lori Mocniak, his daughters Jenelle and Valerie Mocniak. He is also survived by his brother Daniel Mocniak (Maryann), and sisters Christine (late John) Bialik, Regina (Carmen) Mauro, Carol Mocniak, his brother-in-law Thomas Volk (late Carol), his sister-in-law Margaret McMillen, his godchildren Philip Mocniak and Jeanine Cheers, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frank’s tremendous work ethic, unwavering listening skills, tenacity and passion for learning made him well liked and respected by his colleagues at Rochester Instrument Systems, Cybertech, and as an IT Director at Pictometry. Frank enjoyed boating, water skiing, bowling, and was a ski patroller and instructor at Bristol Mountain Ski Resort. He developed and loved tending to his “hobby farm,” especially the fruit trees. Frank loved animals and adopted seven rescue dogs throughout the years lavishing them with love. His close family considered him the “voice of reason” and “mediator” whenever needed. His wisdom and patience will sorely be missed. A celebration of life will be held on April 12, 2025, at The Distillery Restaurant, Henrietta from 2 to 5 pm. Donations can be made in Frank’s memory to Compassionate Care ALS, PO Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02540 or Rescued Treasures, 3177 Latta Rd, Box 161, Rochester, NY, 14612
